Step 11-Big Book pgs 86-
Words: Inquire, divorced.
Soul Work:
1. This week, on awakening, (do a minimum of 3 times)
a. We consider our plan for the day. (What is the plan? What time are things happening? Make plans but don’t plan the outcomes.)
b. Ask God to direct out thinking,(pray first…) especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives.(What are my motives for my plans?)
c. Under these conditions (divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives) I can “employ my mental faculties with assurance, for after all God gave us brains to use.” (Is this selfish or self-caring?) Our thought-life will be placed on a much higher plane when our thinking is cleared of wrong motives.
2. Plan a day that is God honoring, working for God and that is self-caring.
AA 12 & 12 pg 91- 92
Words: vigilance, radical

Questions:
1. Take the bottom paragraph on page 91 and the paragraph on page 92 and write about how in the past you loved personal triumphs; how you drank; how you had a drive for success, and when temporary good fortunes came to you, you indulged yourself in fantasies of still greater victories.
When it didn’t happen you tried to drown out your disappointment with drink, drugs, over eating and co-dependent relationships.
And, how because of your prideful self confidence, when anything went right people left you bored or hurt. Now that now you are in your Step One Fellowship and doing the Big Book Step Study process and you see yourself changing, how can you give God the glory as an insurance against big shot-ism?
2. Write about how you see that you have radically changed.
